    ENVIRONMENTAL PERMITS ISSUED TO NORANDA JAMAICA BAUXITE PARTNERS II

    The National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA) is reporting that it has prepared and issued two environmental permits to Noranda Jamaica Bauxite Partners II for the very limited geographical area consisting of 1333 hectares of land in the parish of St. Ann. The permits include the GPS coordinates for the boundaries of the area released.

    The 2021 Game Bird Hunting Season is declared to open on Saturday 21 August 2021 and close on Sunday 26 September 2021.

    NEPA WARNS HUNTERS AGAINST ILLEGAL HUNTING DURING NO MOVEMENT PERIODS

    The National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA) is warning game bird hunters to desist from hunting during curfew periods and on no movement days.

    During the first weekend, the Agency received several reports of illegal hunting. The reports received indicate that hunters were actively hunting after 6pm on Saturday and on Sunday.
