    Youth aged 4-15 years at the Trelawny Parish Library Network are now more empowered to make environmentally conscious decisions following the recently held Annual Summer Library Programme put on by the Sharon O’Connor Documentation Centre based at the National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA).

    The National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA) is confirming that the ‘reddish-pink’ discolouration of the Outram River that runs through Port Maria in St Mary is due to the overgrowth of specific species of algae resulting in the phenomenon known as Red Tide.

    In light of the intense public interest concerning the status of the mandated Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report for the proposed mining operations for Special Mining Lease (SML) 173 in St Ann and Trelawny by Noranda Jamaica Bauxite Partners II, the National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA) wishes to advise the public that a draft EIA Report was received from the consultants - Conrad Douglas and Associates Limited during July 2019.

    The National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA) announces the dates for bird shooting season. The 2019 Game Bird Shooting Season is slated to open on Saturday August 17, 2019 and close on Sunday, September 22, 2019.
