The National
Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA) will be hosting its second
Customer Awareness Day on Friday, March 28, 2008 at its offices
located at 11 Caledonia Avenue, Kingston 5. The event is being
staged to sensitize developers, construction professionals, project
managers, other interested parties and the general public regarding
environment and planning issues.
The day will
seek to highlight the importance of customer service to the
operations of the Agency, which is part of its mandate. Through
customer-centred service delivery, the Agency is able to offer
improved services including the efficient processing of
applications, the preparation of development orders, plans,
standards, regulations and policies, as well as monitoring and
enforcement.
NEPA’s
Customer Awareness Day will include a simulation of the applications
process,
displays by
various Divisions within the Agency, demonstrations of the Agency’s
application database system-AMANDA, video presentations, display of
a mangrove ecosystem, a live radio outside broadcast on HOT 102 FM,
as well as give-aways.
The National
Environment and Planning Agency is committed to quality customer
