NEWS ReleaseWater Safety Demonstrations at Hellshire – Saturday, May 26 1999
June 24, 1999 The Natural Resources Conservation Authority (NRCA) in collaboration with the Maritime Authority of Jamaica, Tourism Product Development Company (TPDCo), Jamaica Defence Force Coast Guard and the Royal Life Saving Society of Jamaica (RLSS) will be conducting water safety demonstrations at the Hellshire Beach, St. Catherine on Saturday, May 26, 1999 starting at 10:00 a.m. The demonstrations are aimed at exposing the public to safety techniques on beaches and at sea. Emphasis will be placed on how to use safety equipment on fishing and recreational boats. With June being observed as Water Safety Month the demonstrations are considered necessary in light of recent drownings at sea. For More Information Contact: |
