The concert will feature the talents of world renowned musician and co-founder of legendary Reggae Band Third World, Ibo Cooper. Cooper will share the stage with perennial hitmaker Lloyd Lovindeer, 2006 Rising Stars Winners One Third, the dynamic Alpha Boys Band and upcoming talent Sarina Constantine.

Among the exhibitors set to highlight aspects of their work at the event are the Island Special Constabulary Force, ISCF; Institute of Jamaica, IOJ; Panos Caribbean; Nature Preservation Foundation; Environmental Management Division, EMD-OPM; Jamaica Fire Brigade, JFB; Environmental Foundation of Jamaica, EFJ and the Jamaica National Heritage Trust, JNHT.

This year’s celebration of WED will take place during the weeklong commemoration of National Environmental Awareness Week, NEAW, which began with a Church Service on May 30 and runs until June 5, 2010. The theme for NEAW is, I am the Environment’ and the primary objective is to encourage persons to go about caring for their surroundings in the same way that they care for themselves.

NEPA is urging parents and guardians to take their children out for what promises to be an educational, informative, fun-filled and highly entertaining experience.
